As a non-Indigenous student, the Indigenous Cultural Competence & Humility course was extremely valuable in providing content that presented in a holistic way the histories, worldviews, cultures and current challenges of First Peoples, Inuit and Métis in Canada. I appreciated being led to a variety of primary sources of information that augmented the main course content. Perhaps most valuable of all, the course was aimed at learners at any stage of cultural competence, and was highly sensitive to the challenges that learners may face in digesting difficult aspects of the content.I am very grateful for this learning opportunity!
